Our featured home this week is 10376 E 2000th Ave, West York, IL for $165,000.
Although this house has a West York address, it is very close to Hickory Holler Campground and Annapolis. It is 14 minutes from Robinson, and is Hutsonville School District.
Let's start our tour outside. There are nice evergreens around the property, apple trees, and even a fig tree. It would be fun to put a picnic blanket down back here in this corner in this little grove of trees on the west end of the property and watch the sun set! With snow on the ground we saw deer tracks too.
How about this? It is a slide from the old Hutsonville School fire escape and the climbing wall has harnesses and ropes, for safety reasons they do not come with it, but are negotiable and of course new buyer accepts full liability. How fun is this unique playground?
This shed/chicken coup is much bigger than it looks. One side has roost and holds the chickens while the other side is big enough for a car or small tractor. There is replacement glass to repair the broken panes.
Lets go over to the snow covered gardening area with compost bins and raised garden beds and I'll show you what spring could bring...
Alright time to go up the front path and inside!
You enter into the front door into the living room to your right and dining room to left.
There are beautiful hardwood floors throughout this area with new windows. There is a piano that is negotiable to sale, and beautiful built ins.
Next you come into the kitchen which is open to this room with knotty pine that could be an extra living room or would also make a beautiful dining area. Kitchen comes with dishwasher, refrigerator, oven and cooktop. Kitchen has new window above the sink.
Down the hall there are closets and storage everywhere at this house! Come into the large bathroom that has a water closet for extra privacy, large vanity, laundry room and new tub/shower surround. This bathroom also features heated floors.
This bedroom is on the main floor, has beautiful hardwood floors, again plenty of storage and lots of different potential options to add a bathroom and make this the Master Suite.
Let's go up these beautiful stairs with a window on the landing to the two very large bedrooms with again tons of storage. There is a nice size 1/2 bathroom and a beautiful cedar closet.
We still are not done with the living space at this property, there is tons of space in the dry basement recreation room. All new drain lines have been ran outside to keep all the water away from the house.
This basement has a working and inspected fire place, and new windows.
Besides this beautiful Recreation room, it has a cellar room that has a hybrid heat pump hot water heater.
Then it has another room that could be a workshop, but it also has a new wood burning furnace. The wood splitter is negotiable and you can cut wood outside and then there is an access door straight to basement room with the wood burner. There is also a shower in this room.
Although this property has the wood heat, it also has electric heat for back up if you are gone or do not have any wood cut.
There is also Central Air at this property.
We are almost done with this tour, lets head back to main floor, and out the side door into the biggest mud room with so many possibilities. this area use to be the original homestead kitchen. Now it could be a summer kitchen and could also move laundry out here. Has vents where this room could be heated and cooled.
In this mudroom area there is the start of a full bathroom.
We exit out the back area that has a cute patio area and a one car attached garage that has what use to be bedrooms above it, could be made cute again.
As you can see in this aerial view, it sits on 1.8 acres, the grain bins are owned by a farmer and they have an easement to them. The current owners state that if the fans are running they are noticeable outside, and not really from inside. With grain handling the fans on them only run a couple of nights. Once they get a cold night, they run them to cool the grain and then they are off. Harvest usually takes less than a week. During the filling of the bins it is noisy outside. The farmer has always put rock on the drive and cleared the snow.
This house is just waiting for the right family. It has tons of space! So many uniques features and possibility for so much more! Please don't wait! Give us a call to see this in person today!
